Matcha and Honey Face Mask

This matcha and honey face mask has to be one of the simplest masks I have ever made! There are only 2 ingredients but there is almost no limit to the wonders it will work on your skin. It is quick to whip up, only takes 10-15 minutes once applied and can be made in advance and stored! I hope you enjoy this soothing, moisturizing and rejuvenating DIY face mask.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon Matcha Green Tea Powder

½ -1 teaspoon Raw Honey

Time

10-15 mins

Matcha green tea powder has many anti-inflammatory properties which reduce redness, can help with acne problems and soothe the skin. It can prevent premature aging, fight excess oil production, even out your skin tone, and combat under eye circles.

Honey is antibacterial and is loaded with tons of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nourishing natural enzymes. Its highly acidic pH creates an environment that is far too abrasive for bacteria and germs to survive. It is great for healing wounds and is very moisturizing.

Directions

Gently wash your face. Mix up the ingredients in a bowl or carefully in the palm of your hand (always insure your hands are clean) and apply. Wait 10-15 minutes and rinse off with water. Enjoy the soft, silky feeling of your skin but don’t touch your face too much! You will transfer the oils on your hands to your face which encourages acne. Since both ingredients are shelf-happy, you can make extra and store it in your cabinets for multiple uses!
